HK VLOG 3 – Exploring Hong Kong like a BOSS


Our last day at Ovolo Southside Hotel, we spent most of the morning filming b roll for our videos and then it was time to check out and take an Uber back to our first hotel.

Before you know it we’re back in Mong Kok!

It was time to eat, so Haeppy picked a random restaurant for Xander to try some authentic Hong Kong cuisine!

First up was a bowl of beef brisket egg noodles, then beef giblets (pancreas, lung, intestines, stomach, & tripe) vermicelli rice noodles, and finally yellow chicken with rice.
All of them were pretty good even though Xander hates eating the insides of animals. Haeppy absolutely loved it but thought he had had better yellow chicken elsewhere before.

Then it was time to shoot b roll for Mong Kok, so we ran around for about 45 minutes with our cameras and our stabilizer the Ronin-M. If you want to know about what gear we have check this link >> Our Gear

After a little rest, we met up with Haeppy‘s father once more and he told us about his passion for alcohol collecting. After a little bit of Yamazaki Single Malt Whisky (Limited Edition 2014) we tipsily made our way to Tsim Sha Tsui to meet up with a friend of a friend, Doughboy – a rapper from Hong Kong.

In Tsim Sha Tsui is an area where there are quite a bunch of Korean establishments. We found one pocha and saw the prices. We were SHOCKED to see the extortionate prices of soju compared to what we’re used to in Korea.
HK$180 for one bottle is around USD$23 or 25,500KRW. Soju in Korea in shops costs between 1,600KRW to 1,700KRW. Ridiculous!
